One Percent
A subscription wellness app I co-founded and built the engineering for, as CTO (2023–2026).
01 · Problem
A wellness product covering nutrition, activity, hydration, gamification and short educational content needs iOS, Android and web clients, an internal content tool, and billing that never drifts out of sync.
02 · Approach
One NestJS API and a MySQL database serve three clients: the Ionic/Angular/Capacitor app, an Angular backoffice for recipes and ingredients, and the web. Subscriptions run through RevenueCat webhooks. There is an OpenAI-backed nutrition scan, push notifications via OneSignal, and CI/CD on GitHub Actions to AWS.
03 · Outcome
Set up review, CI and releases for a small team, and owned billing consistency and production failures while I was there.
