The social layer for outdoor sports: post a session, fill it with friends, show up together.
01 · Problem
Strava shows you what your friends already did. Nothing shows you what they are about to do. Group runs and rides get organised in WhatsApp threads with dozens of replies, unclear meet-up points and half the group lost on the morning.
02 · Approach
Plan, Fill, Go. Post a session with a sport, time, meet-up point on the map, distance and pace, and set it to public, followers-only or flexible. Others find it in two feeds, Following and Near me (about 50 km), and join with one tap. On the day you get live location for members, Dynamic Island countdowns, push reminders and an App Clip, so invitees can join without installing. Under the hood: SwiftUI, FastAPI on two AWS Lambdas (HTTP and WebSocket), DynamoDB connection tracking with TTL, PostgreSQL and S3.
03 · Outcome
Live on the App Store as SPARTA - SPORTS since May 2026, with a marketing site at sparta-sports.com. Multi-sport from day one: running, road, MTB, hiking, swimming, skiing, surfing and gym.
